Todd does a great job of spending as much quality one-on-one time with Iris as he can. Their favorite outing of choice? The coffee shop down the road. Yup, over the years it's become kind of their thing. They eat breakfast, read the paper together, and basically just hang out and enjoy each other's company for an hour or so...just the two of them. No mommies allowed.
And although they both really love the coffee shop excursions, Todd decided it was time to kick things up a notch. With Iris' love for dance in mind, he purchased two tickets to a special dance performance that took place this past Sunday afternoon at the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.

The outing was a success. Iris loved every minute. Lydia is eagerly anticipating the day when it gets to be her turn!

Can't wait until Kayin is old enough to do this...I am sure when you get to Lincoln there is a possibility for lots of "no mommies allowed"! :)
What an incredible gift that Todd is giving to your girls - intentional time spent loving them via what is important to them. This kinda made me weepy - seeing how excited Iris was, knowing how proud she must have been, out with her daddy. Your girls are very, very lucky to have a daddy who loves them so much. What a great outing!
What a great tradition they have! Kris and I were just talking about going on "Dates" with our kids so that each of them have some one-on-one time.
They looked gorgeous together!
